250 Years of American Biology 101

This mini course will be taught by Jonathan Couey, PhD, a former academic neurobiologist and former research faculty at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.  Mr. Couey has published in Science, Nature Neuroscience, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and Neuron.  From 2022-2023, he served as a scientific advisor to Children's Health Defense and Skyhorse Publishing author and current HHS Secretary Robert F Kennedy, Jr.  This relationship culminated in the publishing of The Wuhan Cover Up (DO NOT BUY THE BOOK NEW. USE eBAY)  Mr. Couey has since publicly accused CHD and Robert F Kennedy Jr. of fraudulently hiring him to discredit rather than be advised by him.  His experiences during the pandemic with what he terms 'health freedumb' is a major impetus for this course.

Biology 101 as it is currently taught is fundamentally incorrect, i.e. Bad Biology 101.  20 years ago, these faults could be seen more as reasonable expectations if slight exaggerations of future discoveries.  However, today these ideas have become incorrect working assumptions that limit our ability to make progress. Fake anti vaccine narratives and many health mythologies reinforce this same Bad Biology 101. In fact, I think these poor working assumptions are being used to rob us of our humanity and our sovereignty as free and independent American Citizens.

This course will use the history of biological ideas to identify those concepts that currently are correct and load bearing, and to identify those concepts that have never been adequately confirmed before they became working assumptions.  In biology, a distinct gray area between knowledge and conjecture exists at the interface between stochastic chemical processes and irreducibly complex biological function, specifically at the molecular chemical level of analysis.  Bad Biology 101 teaches as if this gray does not exist at all, when in fact all meaningful inquiry in molecular biology belongs focused here.

The Human Genome Project is perhaps the most poorly understood molecular 'achievement' in Biology.  The poor working assumptions that are a consequence of this misunderstanding are the heart of Bad Biology 101.  These same poor working assumptions obfuscate the gray area mentioned above with unfounded certainty.  The biology we were all taught during the pandemic unfortunately reinforced the worst of these assumptions.  Unless we unlearn the bad working assumptions, we will inevitably pass these onto our children.  It is important for our collective futures to understand this as a National Security Priority rather than a biological achievement.

Gigaohm will be actively looking to promote the 250 Years of American Biology Course to local Pittsburgh area high school biology teachers as well as a faculty and staff from local universities to assure the best chance that a challenging and engaging discussion will be generated for all in attendance.  The goal of this course is progress in understanding and edification of the key ideas presented.
